I have no idea Kiai. there must be some script (a few geek's code lines) that changes the grid's scale.
does it matter for you?

Kiai it really does not matter, just play with it all and have fun. You will surprise yourself with some happy results from trying and also some happy accidents. Don't pay so much attention to unimportant things unless they are important ones like keeping that number on the tiny box top left at 100, and also make sure the image is not tiny as a postage stamp as A put it...you can choose your size in the render box and in the editor box. Just slowly move those triangles around until you get a delightful image and render it and be sure to save the file. If you need help saving the file let me know. YOU CAN DO IT....hugs....ria

Lesson 3 - Apophysis PLUGINS WHAT? - as you all know with the Apophysis softaware you get a list of variations. now, developers all over the world are always develeoping NEW VARIATIONS that you can add to your software and this way to be able to do more things with it. the new variations comes as plugins (dll files) which are certain files that you have to save in a specific location so the Apophysis will recognize and add to your variation list when you start the program.
now, I found out about this plugins issue not long ago, when I was watching incredible fractals that I didn't have any idea how could someone make them with (what I knew about) the Apophysis at all.
WARNING!!! THE THING IS...there are many plugin files out there, and you can't always know who made them and how well he made them, also, there are several versions of plugins (like STUPID#1 and STUPID#2 etc') and when you add them they start to fight with each other and the program start to work slow and you get lost and you want to kill someone. hehehe.
PLEASE - so my first recommendation to you PLUGINS ADVENTURERS...is to keep your basic Apophysis 3d in a safe place and download a NEW one, put it in it's own folder, you can call it: Apophysis Plugins Experiments (APE ) and there you'll add all this plugins stuff.
WHERE? - you can find plugins (as well as other goodies and some REAL Apo masters) in these links:
http://apophysis.deviantart.com/journal/2038750/ http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=201476
HOW? - how to install the plugins?
1. as mentiond previously ,you open a folder and name it APE (or whatever you like ) 2. in this folder you put a copy of the Apophysis_3D_hack.exe 3. in the same folder you open a NEW FOLDER and you name it PLUGINS. (so that you'll have the Apophysis.exe file and a PLUGINS folder next to eachother) 4. to this PLUGINS folder you save any plugin (dll) files you download from the web 5. you must restart the Apophysis in order to get the new variations active (you'll see them in the light Blue section in the bottom of the VARIATIONS list)
good luck !

Ria...the first link to Deviantart leads to a page that has several links to other pages that has Plugins to download
you have to click on the [link]s (marked with red arrowa) and you have to dig out where the Plugins dowload is. each page has some instructions you have to follow.
the second link to Sourceforge is much easier...all you have to do on that page is to click on the "apo-plugins.bin.71021.zip" link and the file with all the Plugins will start to download. the Plugins are the .dll files and in order to install them to your Apo you have to follow the instructions written in lesson-3
but, you know what? forget that link....here is the file with all the plugins (attached here) you can download it from here.
these are very small files so we can collect all the Plugins that we find and upload them here on some thread...just like with the .flame files.

WOW Thank you A...you are so thorough...You can see why I was confused then...it usually is where you click and open a page and there is what you want..not so here...you do kind of have to dig it out. That is much clearer for me now...I will be getting me some new plugins...thannk you soooooo much..
I learned a new word today..............LeHavree........To heal.....the church near us is having a LaHavree service....and it caught my eye that it was Hebrew....very interesting as I do believe in healing of body and spirit.....hugs...ria

Yes A....it was explained to us that in Hebrew you write from right to left and read in the same way. It was a wonderful service with scripture readings and many beautiful spiritual songs. We also used oil in the process of healing, it was touched to our forehead. Very beautiful and calming. I have also heard of the service for "washing of the feet" for "humility" If I notice that service I shall go to that one too.....they are beautiful and uplifting...have a great night...hugs...ria

Lesson 4: Creating a fractal from scratch Below is just an example of creating a fractal from scratch.
1. Open the Editor (F4).
2. Click on the icon to make a "new blank flame".
3. Add 2 more triangles plus an FX (final) triangle, for a total of 4 altogether.
4. It will default set the linear 3D to 1. Change this to 0 for all 4 triangles.
5. Triangle 1: In the Variation tab, set BUBBLE to 0.4 and JULIA3D both to 0.3.
In the Variables tab, set the julia3D_power to 10.
6. Triangle 2: In the Variation tab, set JULIA3D to 1.
In the Variables tab, set the julia3D_power to 12.
7. Triangle 3: In the Variation tab, set SPHERICAL 1. 8. FINAL triangle: In the Variation tab, set SINUSOIDAL to 0.5 and SWIRL to 0.5.
You may need to adjust the gradient to see the image. To make the image multicolored, go to the COLORS tab in the Editor and adjust the slider bar for each triangle until you get the color combination that you want.
The final shape should look like this~

Thanks, Ria I changed it a little bit from what I sent to you and made it so the plugin wasn't in it. I got caught up playing with it for a while, lol~
